Dr. Beth Gigante Klingenstei
Professor of Music Beth Gigante Klingenstein is a nationally known presenter on the professional issues affecting the independent music teacher. Klingenstein is the author of two books, The Independent Piano Teacher's Studio Handbook and A Business Guide for the Music Teacher. She has published numerous articles in Keyboard Companion, Piano and Keyboard Magazine, The Piano Adventures Teacher, Communique - Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunication, and American Music Teacher. Klingenstein has presented extensively at national and state conferences on music and technology issues, including Music Teachers National Association, World Piano Pedagogy Conference, College Music Society, National Piano Foundation, National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, Association for Technology in Music Instruction, National Symposium on Music Instruction Technology, and the 4th Annual Conference on Ubiquitous Computing. Dr. Klingenstein developed, and currently teaches, five online courses: Applied Pedagogy, Piano Pedagogy, and three Music History courses. She currently serves as the President of the Faculty Senate and Faculty Association as well as the President of the North Dakota Music Teachers Association.
