The promotion process of VCSU revolves around form AA-20, which is the Promotion Self Assessment (a Word document) and a supplementary document that describes Teaching, Scholarship and Service in a more narrative fashion. The general requirement is that the applicant should demonstrate proficiency in three areas. These may examined using the links below or the icons in the left frame.

• The largest component is teaching which accounts for 70% of the evaluation.
  The documentation on teaching.
• Research and scholarly activity accounts for 20% of the evaluation.
  The record on research.
• Service to the University and Community makes up the final 10% of the evaluation.
  The service actions in chronological order or The service actions categorized by unit served.
