Jonna Ziniel

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jonna Ziniel is originally from Fargo, ND. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from North Dakota State University. Her journey then brought her to Southern Illinois University, where she earned her PhD. She spent several years in the South completing her degree and teaching in communication at a local community college. She returned with her family to North Dakota and now lives in Valley City with her husband, three children, and multiple pets. She is extremely active in the community as a volunteer for several organizations and president of St. Catherine's PTO. Dr. Ziniel is also very active in the academic world, presenting at local, regional, and national conferences as well as working on several publications. She is the founder of her own website and social media network, which allows her to stay connected and current in the world of media and public relations. In her free time she loves to read, write, and travel.
