For Use |
For Trainees:
The RSAT module interface is comprised of four information frames:
|
- Visual
displays an illustration of the item currently in focus
- Information
lists information currently available pertinent to that item
- Key
displays general information about the scenario
- Fire
Scene which shows a graphicrepresentation of the fire
scene

Once the module
loads, make sure to get the general information about the call first.
Study contents of the Visual, Information,
and Key windows before accessing the Fire Scene.
Once the general information about the scenario has been ascertained,
use your mouse to highlight various to elements of the image. When you
‘Click’ on the individual elements with your mouse, information
pertinent to that element will be displayed. To access the individual
testimony of the family, click on the corresponding icons that appear
in the Visual window.

For Instructors:
Trainees should only be allowed to access the RSAT Module for a limited
amout of time. Once time has expired, Trainees should close the browser
window, and answer (verbally or in writing) questions you have prepared
for the exercise.

Tasks :

- Beginners might
be asked to synthesize the situation into a brief, coherent report
to be presented to a superior upon his/her arrival on the scene.
- More advanced
users might be asked to provide the same brief, augmented with suggested
courses of action, and identify additional information (and information
sources) that should be employed.
- Expert users
could be asked to provide an initial fire-scene strategy based on
the information gleaned from the RSAT Module.

Technical
Issues:
The RSAT Module can be viewed on any standard web browser with FLASH
capability.
