Anderson, Wesley, BA in History/Social Sci

Adjunct Instructor of Science / Planetarium Director

A 1997 Graduate of Valley City State Unversity, I have been affiliated with the Planetarium since 1994 first as a student and later as an assistant to Dr. Eileen Starr. Upon the retirement of Eileen Starr in 2002, I was hired to fill the position as Planetarium Director.
The Planetarium Science class at VCSU is a unique program that allows students the ability to learn the workings of the facility hands-on by the annual creation of an original production. Divided into two sections, Fall semester is dedicated to the creation of a premise, research of a topic, and writing of a script that is then recorded by the class for use in the Spring Semester. The Spring section of Planetarium Sci 275 takes the created recording and script and creates a show that is demonstrated for the public.
We have on average 3000 visitors annually attending our various programs.
